All standards and audits we conduct at Eurofins, including BRCGS certification, follow the same accredited certification process. Our team of experts take pride in their profession with years of industry experience and specific product category knowledge to match your needs.
It starts with the application form, gathering specific data to allow us to calculate your official audit duration, provide a quotation and allocate an appropriate auditor. We strive to allocate an auditor according to your location to minimise travel expenses.
To ensure our auditors are fully prepared, we request documentation from you prior to the audit to create a comprehensive audit plan.

Accreditation by Approved Certification Body
As an UKAS accredited certification body, Eurofins revises the knowledge by conducting an annual audit against ISO 17065 to ensure the compliance with the requirements for product certification. Thanks to annual audits, our clients are always sure of the quality of our services. We also maintain compliance with the BRCGS Global Standards, which are recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and serve as a benchmark for good practice in the food industry.
Maintaining our Auditor Competence and Food Safety Culture
Becoming and continuing as an approved BRCGS auditor requires ongoing training and assessment to maintain a high BRCGS audit grade. We operate a witness auditor programme where all our auditors are verified for competency. UKAS also independently evaluates our auditors every year. We hold regular calibration sessions to ensure our auditors are all aligned.
Accreditation and maintaining approved auditors equate to roughly 25% of all of our costs.
Certification and Administration
Emma, Milly and Sam are certification experts, dealing with your requirements from application, through audit booking to generation of your certificate. Our services are particularly beneficial for food manufacturers, helping them achieve the necessary standards in BRCGS Food Safety Audits.
Our company requires a multifunctional team, with a diverse range of skills and talent across certification, quality assurance and technical knowledge. Around 65% of our costs are labour, and although that’s on the high end of the spectrum, for us it’s a protected area of direct cost. We are living wage employers, and each individual at Eurofins Food Assurance is an integral part of our ability to succeed, with every role created through necessity, and one where we strive to improve the quality of life for each person in our Eurofins family.
Our Vision and Senior Management Commitment
Your partner in trust
Our founder Gilles Martin started Eurofins from one laboratory in Nantes 35 years ago. Best known for Food and Water testing, Food assurance is now a global business offering Food safety and social compliance services at a local level.
Every day, we build trust: we ensure that your clients and partners are sure of the quality of your services.
There are many external factors that can influence price. To ensure transparency, we offer an annual price review. This usually works out around a 5% price increase on our standard prices.
Ultimately we do our best to ensure our relationships with our stakeholders are well looked after. Our goals are to make the certification process as easy as possible for you and deliver a range of services to help make your business a success.
