Moulds are significant food spoilage organisms and there are many different types of mould that can impact food quality. Identification of mould species by traditional means is a highly specialised and time-consuming process.

New service | Yersinia enterocolitica
Yersinia enterocolitica is a foodborne bacterial pathogen recently identified as a more significant cause of gastroenteritis in the UK than previously recognised. In response, our Grimsby laboratory now offers specialised food testing for Yersinia enterocolitica. Read more
