Expanded testing for Ethylene Oxide (EtO) at Wolverhampton laboratory

We are excited to announce an expansion of our accredited Ethylene Oxide (EtO) testing capabilities at our Wolverhampton laboratory. We now offer EtO testing for additional matrix types, specifically food additives and thickeners, alongside our existing scope for seeds and spices.

Following ISO 17025 validation procedures, our expanded testing is performed using a dedicated GC-MS/MS system, ensuring the highest levels of sensitivity and specificity for detecting EtO and its metabolite 2-Chloroethanol. This enables us to meet the required Maximum Residue Level (MRL) for ethylene oxide, providing accurate and reliable results. Read more

Bread and Flour Regulations 1998

  • Non-wholemeal wheat flour must also be fortified with folic acid at a level of 250 micrograms of folic acid per 100g of flour. (GOV.UK) Read more
