Eurofins Food Testing UK have an important update regarding the method we use for the enumeration of Clostridium perfringens in our laboratory.
In keeping with ISO 17025:2017 and the requirement to use the most up to date ISO methods, we are adopting the new ISO standard for the enumeration of Clostridium perfringens. ISO 15231-2 replaces previously used ISO 7939, which is now withdrawn.
Whilst there are minor additional confirmatory options in the new ISO, we will continue to test your samples as before. The updated reference has been integrated into our UKAS schedule of accreditation, and test codes within the quotes will reflect the change.
This transition affects the entire network of laboratories in the UK, further enhancing the reliability of our testing results, and ensuring that you continue to receive the highest quality of service from us.
