News and Events >> News >> Water Hygiene Testing UK: Important sample submission requirements

We’ve noticed an increase in samples arriving at our laboratories without the necessary paperwork and want to remind you of our sample submission requirements to comply with our UKAS No. 9658 accredited testing and ISO17025 requirements.

Please ensure that all samples are accompanied by completed paperwork, which must include the following information:

  • Company submitting the samples
  • Date and time of sampling
  • Detailed sample descriptions to allow for unique identification n the certificate of analysis
  • Sample matrix (matching the Matrix Guide)
  • Required tests / test package
  • Any additional info for the report (e.g., pre/post or sampling temperature)

Please also ensure that each bottle shows enough information, and the correct barcode where appropriate, to easily match it to the appropriate sample on your paperwork.

You can submit paperwork either electronically or as a physical copy.

Electronic submissions can be submitted via Europortal, API, or email and must be received by 6am the day after drop-off. Europortal eases the process for you as it streamlines submission and provides access to orders, results, and reports. Contact us at WatersCustomerServices@ftuki.eurofins.com for help setting this up.

Physical submission paperwork must be left in the designated post-box at the drop-off point. Samples accompanied by paperwork that is left in another location e.g. inside or on top of fridges, attached to samples, or missing paperwork altogether cannot be accepted.

If paperwork is missing, we’ll make contact via email. If appropriate paperwork is not provided within 4 hours, the samples may not be tested, disposed of, and an administration charge could apply.

Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any questions, please contact WatersCustomerServices@ftuki.eurofins.com.
