FAQ's
Why choose segmentation instead of overview?
Segmented hair drug testing allows the expert to report on patterns of change over the given testing period when breaking this down on a month by month basis, allowing the instructing legal representative to have a high understanding of the donor's consumption rates and patterns. Giving a better understanding of what happened within the detection period. Overview testing will just show the consumption over the total time period rather than monthly so we would always recommend segmenting hair analysis, especially if the donor is known to have previously used. Would you recommend hair strand or blood testing for alcohol testing?
We would recommend to test both together as there is always a 2-3 week window of untestable hair just below the scalp but blood testing shows the donors alcohol consumption over the previous 28 days from the date of the sample collection, so combining the two together can illustrate the donors consumption over the testing period with no gaps. What is SCRAM?
Scram testing is the most widely used transdermal alcohol monitoring bracelet in the corrections industry. Every 30 minutes, 24/7, the SCRAM CAM bracelet tests the wearer’s sweat for alcohol which is worn around the ankle and can determine whether there has been any tampering or environmental contamination to increase its accuracy.
