To maintain the highest quality in our water testing services, it's vital that we test all samples within their stability periods. A key part of this process is knowing the exact time each sample was taken.
We therefore politely request that when submitting your water samples for analysis you
-
Put the sampling time on your sample bottle
-
Whenever possible use barcodes
Why sampling times matter
Our registration team relies on sampling times to prioritise workloads effectively, ensuring we meet stability requirements. Without this information, it's challenging to guarantee timely processing, especially for samples collected before 9:00 AM on the previous day.
The benefits of using barcodes
We're thrilled to see more and more samples arriving with barcodes – this innovation has significantly sped up the registration process and improved efficiency. However, many barcoded samples are submitted without the sampling time, which creates delays and impacts our ability to prioritise accurately.
How you can help
Please ensure that the sampling time is clearly written on the bottles, even when using barcodes. This simple step will greatly support our efforts to maintain the accuracy and reliability of our testing.
