Eurofins Water Hygiene Testing is proud to announce the introduction of our new method for the analysis of Film Forming Amines. This development follows a shift in dosing chemicals in the industry, ensuring we continue to provide cutting-edge testing solutions.
Method overview
Method ID: EIWC27 – Analysis of Film Forming Amines using Test Kits
- Film Forming Amine as OLDA – LOD: 0.02 mg/L
- Film Forming Amine as OLA – LOD: 0.03 mg/L
- Film Forming Amine as ODA – LOD: 0.03 mg/L
Each batch of testing includes blanks and Analytical Quality Controls (AQC) to verify performance, ensuring that our reported results are accurate, reliable, and fit for purpose.
Why this method?
The introduction of this method stems from a noticeable shift in the industry, with increasing reliance on Film Forming Amines (FFAs) as protective conditioning agents in boiler and cooling water systems. As regulations evolve and industries seek more sustainable and effective treatment solutions, the need for precise and reliable testing of these compounds has grown.
